Type material examined. Photograph of the holotype: female, “Baibara, Y. Saito Kikuchi” / “ Lithosia postmaculosa ” / red label “Type Matsumura” (EIHU) .

Other material examined: long series of both sexes from Taoyuan, Pingtung, Taichung, Kaohsiung, Nantou, Ilan, Chiayi and Taipei Counties of Taiwan (MWM / ZSM) .

Distribution. The species is endemic to Taiwan Island (Fang 2000 partim; Chang 1989; Heppner 2012, as Eilema costipuncta postmaculosa; Volynkin & Saldaitis 2021).
