Evippa sjostedti is distributed in western Kazakhstan, southern Mongolia, and central China (WSC 2023). It is the first record of this species in the Caucasus. Along with E. turkmenica Sternbergs, 1979 (description based only on females), it belongs to the Evippa sjostedti -group. The females of E. sjostedti can be distinguished from those of E. turkmenica by the angled anterior hood (almost straight in E. turkmenica).
