Tibiodrepanus simplex (Kabakov, 2006)

Type material. Holotype: 3, “Afghan. Konar Narang, 700m, 27.vii.1972, Kabakov” “ Holotypus Drepanocerus simplex ii.1973 Kabakov” (ZIN).

Additional material examined. The species is known only from the holotype.

Diagnosis. Species similar to T. hircus, differing mainly by having the metasternal disc with a longitudinal, medial, impunctate line and by its Palaearctic distribution.

Distribution. The species is known only from northeastern Afghanistan.

Remarks. The species was found in the eastern Palaearctic region, in the foothills of the Hindu Kush Range, near the town of Asadabad. The Pakistan border is not far from the type locality.
