Material examined. 2 females (SEMC): “ PERU: Dept. Loreto \ 1.5km N Teniente Lopez \ 2°35.66’S, 76°06.92’W \ 26 July 1993, 210– 240 m \ Richard Leschen #211 \ ex: flight intercept trap ” .

Notes on morphology. Body of moderate size (TL 2.50–2.60 mm), oblong, dark brown, one specimen with yel- lowish apical portion of elytral suture, apical half of elytra densely covered with erect setae, each elytron with two shallow concavities in apical portion. Gonocoxites wide, subtriangular, with subapical gonostyli (Fig. 27M), bursal sclerite elongate, anterior portion oblong oval, small subconical outgrowth present in central portion, posterior portion slightly widened, subtriangular.

Remarks. Included in group I due to the following characters: elytra with distinct foveate excitators, wide gonocoxites with subapical gonostyli.
