Material examined. Female (SEMC): “ ECUADOR: Sucumbios \ Sacha Lodge, 0.5°S, \ 76.5°W, 270m, 14–24-III \ 1994, Hibbs, ex: malaise”.

Notes on morphology. Body very small (TL 1.85 mm), brownish black, covered with erect setae. Apical por- tion of each elytron with small opaque area covered by dense, stout, black setae. Gonocoxites membranous, gonostyli apical (Fig. 27I), bursal sclerite rod-like, long.

Remarks. Included in group II due to the following characters: small body, membranous gonocoxites and lack of foveate excitators.
