Recognition characters: Black species; length 16–21 mm; mystax white; antennal style short; thorax grayish pollinose, bristles white laterally, black on metanotal declivity; scutellum black, bristles white; wings blackish, tinged with yellowish in the costal-basal area; abdomen polished black, tergites 2–5 white pollinose on the posterior corners; legs except coxae, black; setae on ventral side of fore tibiae mainly whitish, some pubescence on fore tibiae golden yellow.

Distribution: SHERIDAN: Sheridan, WANG, LTA, 29–30 July 2010 (BCK, DAL) (CSU, GMAD).

Habitat: Grama-needlegrass-wheatgrass grassland vegetation type.

Ethology: Nothing known.
