Leptogaster eudicranus Loew, 1874: 353 .
Recognition characters: Gray species; length 6–12 mm; mystax white; thorax gray pollinose with three brown pollinose stripes dorsally; scutellum gray pollinose, scutellar setae and bristles lacking; abdomen gray pollinose laterally, brownish gray pollinose dorsally; legs, hind femora with apical 3/7 brown, hind tibiae dark brown except for basal 2/7.
Distribution: CROOK: Devil’s Tower, 7 July 1946 (MES).
Habitat: Grama-buffalo grass vegetation type.
