Epilachna crepida Pang et Ś lipi ń ski sp. nov. (Figs. 24 a–j)
Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin noun crepida, meaning shoe, sandal or boot and refers to a shoe-like apical piece of penis.
Diagnosis. This species can be easily distinguished by its male genitalia, particularly by its complex form of penis guide and shoe-like apical part of the penis (Figs. 24 f–j).
Description. Length 7.3 mm. TL/EW = 1.30; PL/PW = 0.35; EL/EW = 1.11; EL/PL = 5.64. Dorsum reddish or reddish brown; pronotum with central transverse spot of varying size. Elytra with 5 pairs of black spots, arranged as on Fig. 24 a–d; anterior and posterior spots separated from margins and suture; spots three and four sometimes connected and reaching lateral margin of elytron. Abdominal postcoxal line incomplete, extending posteriorly to 0.8 of ventrite length (Fig 23 e).
Male genitalia (Figs. 24 f–j): penis weakly bent basally, with shoe-like apical piece; parameres distinctly longer than penis guide; penis guide very complex, with single apical hook. Female genitalia: unknown.
Types. Holotype (male), Sichuan: 29km N Bao'xing, 1995.vii.16–20, R.E. Roughley (SYSM) (No.CHC- 0293). Paratype male: Moxi, 1994.vii.1–7, J. Farkač & D. Král (1, NHMB) (No.CHC-0099).
