Diagnosis. Body size small to medium. Fore femur and hind femur without spines ventrally, hind tibiae with internal and external spines dorsally, arranged in groups. Hind metatarsus with apical spine dorsally, ventrally keeled or with bristles. Median lobe of male genitalia with lateral sclerotized plate and cracked into 2–4 lobes apically; epiphallus of various shape (A-shaped, H-shaped, nearly triangular, subquadrate, rectangular).
This subgenus differs from Tachycines (Tachycines) s. str. Adelung, 1902 by the absence of ventral spines on hind femur.
