Allonychus braziliensis (McGregor, 1950) Pritchard & Baker, 1955

Allonychus braziliensis, Pritchard & Baker, 1955: 137 .

Thi species was described from quince, Cydonia oblonga Mill., from Vicosa, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Chiavegato (1968) reported it from the rubber tree, Hevea brasiliensis Mull. from Campinas, São Paulo, and Paschoal (1970) from pear, Pyrus communis L. and mango, Mangifera indica L., also in the state of São Paulo.

It is now reported from Santa Catarina, southern Brazil.

Specimens examined: 5 females, 3 males, from pear, Pyrus communis L., 29 May 2001, Cacador, Santa Catarina, coll. I Nora.

Eotetranychus tremae DeLeon, 1957: 111 .

In Brazil this species is known from Piper sp. and from Siparuna guianensis Aubl. from the state of Rio de Janeiro (Flechtmann, 1981, 1996).

It is now reported from the state of São Paulo.

Specimens examined: 4 females, 3 males, from Serjania communis Cambess, 0 4 May 2003, Campus Luiz de Queiroz, Piracicaba, São Paulo, coll. CHWF.

Neotetranychus asper Feres & Flechtmann, 2002: 224 .

So far this species is only known from its description, from Alchornea glandulosa Poepp & Endl. from São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo, Brazil.

It was recently collected in Piracicaba, São Paulo.

Specimens examined: 10 females, 6 males, from "guacatonga", Casearia sylvestris Sw., 16 July 2002, Campus Luiz de Queiroz, Piracicaba, São Paulo, coll. CHWF.

Tetranychus desertorum Banks, 1900: 76 .

New findings of this species, widespread in the Americas, are its presence in the state of Santa Catarina and a new host plant, Brunfelsia sp.

Specimens examined: numerous females and males, from "manacá", Brunfelsia sp., 11 October 1998, Parque Nacional do Itatiaia (Hotel Simon), Rio de Janeiro, coll. CHWF, and, 6 females, 4 males, from pear, 19 January 2000, Frei Rogério, Santa Catarina, col. I. Nora.

Tetranychus ogmophallus Ferreira & Flechtmann, 1997: 181 .

This species of carmine spider mite was described from Central Brazil on Arachis pintoi (Krap. & Greg.), A. prostrata Benth. and peanuts A. hypogeae L. is now reported from the state of Paraná.

Specimens examined: numerous females and males, from A. pintoi, 0 9 January 1999, Londrina, Paraná, coll. N.L. Domiciano.
