Acanthochitona hirudiniformis (Sowerby, 1832)

Type material. Syntypes, BMNH 1984050 .

Type locality. Restricted to Chatham Islands, Islas Galápagos, Ecuador according to Smith & Ferreira (1977). According to Watters (1990), it is distributed throughout the Gulf of California.
