Remarks: Sex of the holotype unknown. The type locality " Birma: Ruby Mines" can not be exactly localized. However, the famous Burmesian ruby mines are situated in the mountains in the vicinity of Mandalay, thus the type of Laena bicolor might have been collected in that area of central Burma.
