Material examined. AFGHANISTAN: Badghis: Bala Murghab (Locality No. 26), 470 m a.s.l., 10.–15. vi.1964, 1 ♂ 2 ♀, O. Jakeš lgt., N. Vinokurov det. (MMBC, NMPC).
Habitat. The specimens were collected at light; the surrounding habitat was the environs of a hotel in a meander of the Darya-i-Murghab River in a wide valley with ruderal as well as cultivated vegetation (Jakeš & Povolný 1967).
Distribution. A Central Asian species described from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan (Vinokurov 2004b, Aukema et al. 2013). Also recorded from Iran (Khorasan Razavi) as Saldula sp. n. near setulosa (Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1998). New species record for Afghanistan.
