Chartoscirta elegantula elegantula (Fallén, 1807)

Material examined. BULGARIA: Blagoevgrad: Sandanski (→ Lilyanovo), 30.v.–6. vi.1978, 1 ♀, K. Majer lgt., J. L. Stehlík & P. Kment det. (MMBC). Burgas: Burgas, Atanasovsko ezero Lake, salt marshes, 1 m a.s.l. (Locality No. 18B/73), 14. vii.1973, 1 ♂, P. Lauterer lgt., P. Kment det. (MMBC).

Distribution. Chartoscirta elegantula is a Euro-Siberian species reaching south to Iran, Central Asia and India (Himachal Pradesh). In northern regions it is represented by the nominotypical subspecies, in the southern regions by Ch. e. longicornis . However, taxonomic status of both subspecies and their geographical interrelationship requires clarification (Lindskog 1995, Aukema et al. 2013).
