REMARKS
Cololejeunea gottschei is close to C. longifolia and C. stellaris (subg. Leptocolea sect. Salebrosae) but differs from the latter two species in the apiculate, sometimes denticulate leaf lobes, and furthermore from C. longifolia in the obovate perianth and sexangular, multicellular gemmae with four adhesive cells and from C. stellaris by its smooth, not papillose cells. A widespread epiphyllous Indomalesian species, in Malaysia known only from Sabah (Mizutani 1966, under Cololejeunea paroica Mizut.). New to Peninsular Malaysia (Kelantan).
