Platypeplus hedraea Meyrick, 1905, J. Bombay Nat. Hist. Soc. 16: 584. Type locality: Sri Lanka, “ Ceylon [Sri Lanka] ( Kandy)”. Lectotype (♂): NHM .

Statherotoxys hedraea (Meyrick, 1905): Diakonoff, 1973, Zool. Monogr. Rijksmus. Nat. Hist. 1: 199, Figs. 279A–B, 295 (♂, ♀ genitalia).

Distribution outside Thailand: Sri Lanka (Meyrick 1905), India and Myanmar (Diakonoff 1973), and Japan (Nasu & Komai 2013).

Distribution in Thailand: C–– Nakhon Nayok Prov. (Khao Yai N.P.) and Uthai Thani Prov. (Huai Kha Khaeng W.S.), E–– Chanthaburi Prov. (Khao Khitchakut N.P.) and Sa Kaeo Prov. (Pang Sida N.P.), and NE–– Nakhon Ratchasima Prov. (Khao Yai N.P.) (KKIC).

Host plants: Unknown.

Remarks: This species is reported from Thailand for the first time. Specimens from Thailand were collected in mixed deciduous forest and dry evergreen forest at 165– 786 m.
