Distribution outside Thailand: Australia (Horak 2006), Japan (Kawabe 1974; Nasu & Komai 2013), India (Meyrick 1911), Cambodia, Philippine Is., Sri Lanka, and Vietnam (Meyrick 1907, 1911; Diakonoff 1968, 1973, 1982; Kawabe 1974; Nedoshivina 2013; Pathania et al. 2020).
Distribution in Thailand: C–– Phitsanulok Prov. (Mueang) and Saraburi Prov. (Muak Lek) (Meyrick 1907; Roland, personal communication).
Host plants: Unknown in Thailand. Caterpillars feed on Zingiberaceae: Alpinia galanga (Diakonoff 1973, 1982; Robinson et al. 2023). Some caterpillars have been reared from Drypetes (Euphorbiaceae) in Australia, possibly D. lasiogyna (Horak 2006) .
Remarks: Specimen from Thailand was collected by Roland (personal communication) in the Phitsanulok City at 46 m. Meyrick (1907) did not mention about forest type and elevation.
