Polychrosis cerata Meyrick, 1909, J. Bombay Nat. Hist. Soc. 19: 587. Type locality: Sri Lanka, Ceylon [Sri Lanka] ( Diyatalawa). Lectotype (♂): NHM.

Bactra cerata insularis Diakonoff, 1964, Zool. Verh. Leiden 70: 49. Type locality: Fiji Islands, “ Fiji Islands ( Vunidawa, Reiva River)”. Holotype (♀): NHM. [subspecies of Bactra cerata]

Distribution outside Thailand: India and Sri Lanka (Meyrick 1909), Indonesia and New Guinea (Diakonoff 1964, 1973; Clarke 1976), Japan (Nasu & Komai 2013), and Vietnam (Nedoshivina 2013).

Distribution in Thailand: E–– Trat Prov. (Trat Agroforestry R.St.), N–– Chiang Mai Prov. (Fang), NE–– Loei Prov. (Phu Luang W.S.), and W–– Kanchanaburi Prov. (Thong Pha Phum N.P.) (Kawabe 1989; KKIC).

Host plants: Unknown.

Remarks: Specimens from Thailand were collected in agroforestry area, mixed deciduous forest, and hill evergreen forest at 30– 900 m.
