Ropaloteres nysa (Guérin-Méneville, 1849)

Geographic distribution: Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Benin, Ghana, Togo, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, People`s Republic of Congo, Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Malawi.

Distribution in Guinea –Bissau: 6, 29, 40.

Specimens sampled: Buba-Tunani, 15.VII.2006, 1 ɗ, “DO”, (AS).

Remarks: Such as the precedent species, R. nysa was described from the old “ Guinea portugaise” (Guérin-Méneville 1849). It was recorded later to several countries of Africa (Werner & Schüle 2006). One adult was collected at light (Serrano 1995) in Guinea-Bissau. The species is not common in this country (see distribution), occurring at footways close to forests.
