Male: Unknown.
Type material: Holotype female: Argentina, Neuquén, Villa La Angostura, 22-II-2 0 14, Martinez, Compagnucci, Ojanguren, Piacentini col. (MACN). 5 paratypes females with the same label information.
Type locality: ARGENTINA: Neuquén: Villa La Angostura .
Distribution (Fig. 4): ARGENTINA: Neuquén: Villa La Angostura.
Etymology: The species is named after the region of the type locality.
Comentário: Lepidura patagonica sp. nov. is similar to L. viridis by the absence of vein CU/1b on the hind wing and the lentgh of the T2, 2.50× its width or longer. The two species can be differentiated by the presence of the costula and the anterior transverse carina of propodeum, absent in L. viridis . There was no variation between the specimens, this is the larger species in the genus.
