Remarks. This is the first record of this species from NW Australia, having previously been recorded off Indonesia, Borneo and Kei Island (Jackson & Stiasny 1937; Zezina 1981; Logan 2007). It is very rare in the material examined, represented by only one specimen. Dysedrosia borneoensis is a very large species, characterized by an elongate outline and broad folding. Its surface is smooth ornamented only by indistinct, numerous growth lines. The beak is erect with a large, labiate epithyrid foramen.
