Diagnosis. Paratropis are distinguished from Anisaspis Simon, 1892 and Anisaspoides F. O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1896 by the presence of PMS (Fig. 1B) absent in the latter (Sherwood et al. 2022); from Stormtropis males by the presence of third claw on tarsi I (absent in P. minuscula), absent in Stormtropis (Pérafan et al. 2019) but females of Stormtropis have no distinguishable morphological characters from Paratropis .
