Type species Bactrocera longicornis Macquart, 1835, by monotypy.

Diagnosis: Scutum usually with lateral postsutural yellow vittae, medial vitta absent, male abdominal tergite III with a pecten of cilia, oval or rounded ceromata present on abdominal tergite V, sternite V with a V-shaped, usually deep, posterior concavity, posterior lobe of surstylus short and broad.
