Chroococcidiopsis sp.2 (Fig. 10C–D).
Colonies sarcinoid, up to four cells, 3.75–5.94 µm diam. Sheath firm, thin, smooth, non-lamellated, hyaline. Cells hemispherical, polygonal to irregular, 1.11–2.51 µm diam. Without individual envelopes. Cell content homogeneous, blue-green.
Habitat:— Concrete.
Notes:— This morphotype is similar to Chroococcidiopsis thermalis Geitler, but differs by habitat, being this species originally described to hot Springs (Komárek & Anagnostidis, 1998).
