Kryptousia sp.1 (Fig.15L–Q).
Filaments entangled, forming mats on substrata, 4.91–16 µm wide. Trichomes erect or coiled, cylindrical up to slightly attenuated, with bilateral (X type) and tolypothricoid branches, slightly constricted in meristematic zones. Sheath absent or firm, 0.67–3.08 µm wide, non-lamellated, hyaline to brown. Apical cell rounded or rounded-conical. Cell isodiametric, sub-quadratic or short in meristematic zones, 3.24–15.12 µm wide, 2.91–18.5 µm long, ratio l/w = 0.72. Cell content granulated, grayish-green to purple. Basal heterocytes elliptical to semielliptical or isodiametric, short when intercalary, 4.63–6.75 µm wide, 2.84–5.66 µm long. Necridia present.
Habitat: —Concrete in the shade.
Notes: —The habitat and coiled forming trichomes on substrata are the diacritical features that distinguish this morphotype from other Kryptousia Alvarenga, Andreote, Branco & Fiore species.
