Brasilonema roberti-lamii (Bourrelly) C.L. Sant’Anna et J. Komárek in Sant’Anna et al. (2011: 56) (Fig. 12A–C).

Basonym: Tolypothrix roberti-lamii Bourrelly (1952: 151) .

Filaments forming fascicles, erect and parallel, 12.57–16.39(20.93) μm wide. Sheath firm, 1.21–3.66 μm wide, 3–5 lamellae, hyaline, brown to yellow-brown. Trichomes cylindrical, false geminate branched rare, not constricted. Cells short, 8.27–11.53 μm wide, 3.77–9.8 μm long, ratio l/w = 0.63. Apical cell rounded. Cell content granulated, olive-green. Heterocyte ellipsoid to semi-spherical, intercalary, 7.84–15.56 μm wide, 5.44–16.5 μm long. Hormogonia 5–10 cells, not constricted.

Habitat: —Tree bark covered with moss associate with Gloeocapsa compacta .
