Filaments forming fascicles conical, erect and parallel, 10.63–26.19 µm wide. Sheath firm, thickened, 1–3 lamellae, regularly ornamented, hyaline to slight brown. Trichomes cylindrical, false geminate branched, constricted. Cell short, 8.7–14.57 µm wide, 4.09–9.47 µm long, ratio l/w = 0.57. Apical cell rounded. Cell content granulated, olive-green, pale purple or brown. Heterocyte cylindrical or ellipsoidal, intercalary, 5.52–15.65 µm wide, 9.33–15.48 µm long. Hormogonia 5–10 cells, constricted, with basal heterocyte or not.
