15 Catasticta tomyris (C. & R. Felder, 1865) (TL: Nova Granada, Bogotá)

Catasticta tomyris subtamina (Eitschberger & Racheli, 1998) (TL: Venezuela, Mérida, Tal des Rio Albarragas) is apparently the only Venezuelan representative of this species. It is distributed along the Cordillera de Mérida from 1800 to 2500 m, southwestward to the Serranía de El Tamá. Specimens are not commonly encountered.
