Remarks. Specimen BMNH 1880.9.10.32 is said to be from Singapore (Dennys 1880a; Blanford 1881; Boulenger 1893); however, Blanford (1881) listed Singapore and Hong Kong as the locality. Smith (1943) discredited any record of A. stolatum in the Malay Peninsula, and de Haas (1949) recommended removing it from the herpetofauna list of the Malay Peninsula, which was completed by Tweedie (1953). However, Lim & Lim (1988d) described A. stolatum as rare, if not extinct in Singapore. Nonetheless, A. stolatum ranges from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and Nepal east through Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos to China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan (Wallach et al. 2014). Thus, it is likely the specimen came from Hong Kong.
