Remarks. Sworder (1923) suspected the presence of H. klossi in Singapore because it occupies the Straits of Malacca, but no records exist of this species from Singapore. Subsequent publications likely refer to Sworder (1923). Voris and Jeffries collected two specimens during their sea snake research in Singapore, but the two specimens were brought to the Kangkar Fish Market with no specific locality recorded and have been excluded (refer to “A note on sea snakes in Singapore ” above), and the LKCNHM has specimens from the South China Sea.

LKCNHM & NHMUK Museum specimens. No specimens.

Additional Singapore museum specimens. No specimens.
