Remarks. The presence of H. peronii in Singapore was first reported by Lim & Chou (1990), likely based on eight specimens collected by Voris and Jeffries during their sea snake research in Singapore. However, four specimens were taken from the South China Sea, and the other four were brought to the Kangkar Fish Market with no specific locality recorded and have been excluded (refer to “A note on sea snakes in Singapore ” above). Two of these specimens are likely the two stored at FMNH. There are two additional specimens at LKCNHM that were also collected from the South China Sea. Subsequent publications likely refer to Lim & Chou (1990).

LKCNHM & NHMUK Museum specimens. No specimens.

Additional Singapore museum specimens. Singapore (no locality): FMNH.
