Distribution. Arabian Peninsula: Yemen (d’Orbigny 1913a). Africa: Eritrea, South Africa, Tanzania (d’Orbigny 1900), Somalia (d’Orbigny 1913a), Ethiopia, Nigeria, Sudan (Arrow 1931), Asia: Pakistan (Ziani & Bezděk 2016).

Remarks. First record for Oman. All the literature records for Saudi Arabia (Arrow 1931; Scott in Paulian 1948; Baltahsar 1963; Zunino 1975, 1981) are without precise locality, and could be due to a wrong reading of d’Orbigny (1913a) who reported: “ Arabia: Yemen, Aden ”. Therefore, we herein choose to exclude this species from the fauna of the Saudi Arabia, until proven otherwise.
