Note: — Hu (1934) cited four gatherings of H. T. Tsai from Wenshan, SE Yunnan, with designating H. T. Tsai 51726 as type, but he did not specify the herbarium where the type is deposited. Five duplicates were traced from herbaria A (00041747), IBSC(0000252), NY(00355236) and PE(00028991, 00028996), and amongst, duplicate PE00028996 bears a label annotated by Hu’s handwritten with a line drawing and stamped as “type”. This duplicate may be the sole specimen used by Hu when he prepared the protologue for the name and may be considered as holotype according to Art. 9.1 (Turland et al. 2018). In CQNM, one duplicate of the paratype H. T. Tsai 51616 is found. This collection was collected on 22 January 1933, but, in the protologue, it was confused by Hu (1934) with H. T. Tai 51555 (IBSC0058673, IBSC0058674, KUN0109509, LBG00078798, NAS00070909, PE00028995, WUK0039914).
