Remark: The Indian records and Krishnan’s (1968) redescription and assignment to Thyropygus, which lacked male characters, are certainly erroneous, because this species is only known from Vietnam and presently referred to as Alienostreptus alienus (cf. Jeekel 2006, Pimvichai et al. 2010).
