Spinotarsus colosseus — Ramanathan & Alagesan, 2012a: 55, 56 (R); Alagesan & Ramanathan, 2013: 1, 2 (R); Kondepudi et al., 2015: 404 (R). “Alagarmalai Hills (10º0’– 10º30’N, 75º55’– 78º20’E)”; “Alagar Hills Reserve Forest, Tamil Nadu”; “Kanyakumari (8°14’23.10”N, 77°20’04.02”E), Tamil Nadu”. Remarks: Spinotarsus colosseus is endemic to southern Africa (Hamer 1998) and absent from India. Regrettably, the published pictures only obscure its true identity, and the family, genus and species are deleted from the Indian fauna.
