Specimen examined. PERU. Ancash: Asunción, Chacas, Acochaca, route AN-107, km 60, 4039 m, 9º08′48”S, 77º28′52”W, 10 May 2018, woody debris of Polylepis sp., Lado 26260 (MA-Fungi 97062) .

Notes. Due to the size of the sporocarps, the material studied also matched the description of S. smithii T. Macbr. (Nannenga-Bremekamp 1991), but some authors consider both species synonyms (Moreno et al. 2013).
