Ayacucho: Lucanas, route PE-30A, km 103, 4 km east of Abra Condorcenca, 3947 m, 14º38′28.1”S, 74º17′57.8”W, 27 Sep 2012, bark of Polylepis sp., Lado 21874b (MA-Fungi 94641) .

Notes. These specimens are similar to Didymium decipiens Meyl., with the capillitium tubules twisted like a spiral. However, the spore ornamentation consists of unevenly distributed warts with a paler area. In comparison, the original description of the species reported prominent warts connected by fine lines lacking a paler area. Poulain et al. (2011) referred to the taxon Didymium pseudodecipiens ad int., with the capillitium tubules also bearing spirals but with the spores ornamented with thick spinules.
