Specimens examined. PERU. Tacna: Tacna, Chulpapalca, route PE-40, km 63,700, east of Palca, 3220 m, 17º46′07.2”S, 69º56′23.7”W, 5 Oct 2012, debris of Corryocactus brevistylus, Lado 22097 (MA-Fungi 94693), Lado 22099 (MA-Fungi 95326) .

Notes. These specimens matched the description of D. eremophilum, inhabiting arid areas and differing from other species in the genus by the smaller size, long stalks, and lack of columella, pseudocolumella and capillitium. However, the Peruvian specimens have small fragments of capillitium.
