97. Macbrideola cf. argentea Nann. -Bremek. & Y. Yamam., Proc. Kon. Ned. Akad. Wetensch., C. 86(2): 228 (1983)

Specimens examined. PERU. Ancash: Yungay, Yungay, Huascaran N.P., Llanganuco sector, Chinancocha lagoon, route AN-106, km 25,500, 3844 m, 9º04′41.6”S, 77º39′06.9”W, 19 Apr 2013, branches of Polylepis sp., Lado 22924a (MA-Fungi 95126), Lado 22926 (MA-Fungi 95130) .

Notes. Similar to some Lamproderma species due to the iridescent peridium, however, the hollow stalk base, as seen with transmitted light, relates this taxon to the genus Macbrideola . This material has persistent peridium and capillitium with pale anastomoses towards the surface. Uncertainty in the identification comes from the capillitium of the Peruvian material, without the few primary branches and anastomoses towards the periphery described in M. argentea (Singer et al. 2009) . The prominent groups of warts on the spores of the species do not occur either in this material.
