Notes. A species described from the Atacama desert in Chile and previously recorded from the coastal arid lands of Peru (Lado et al. 2016) and the arid bordering zones of the “cardonal” (Lado et al. 2019). The species has a better distribution and abundance on the coast since in habitats located at higher elevations (over 1,500 m), it has only been recorded in a couple of localities, including this collection.
