Habitat. Hornbeam and beech forest (Omodeo & Rota,1989).

Distribution on the Balkans and Anatolia. Greece (Michalis 1982; Szederjesi 2015); Turkey (Artvin: Omodeo & Rota 1989; Osmaniye and Antalya: Mısırlıoğlu, 2007; Rota 2013b).

Material examined in Anatolia. 6 ex Adana, Seyhan Dam Border (37°02'03''N, 35°20'98''E), altitude 45m, 0 1.10.2015. 8 ex . Adana, Seyhan Dam Bend (37°32'03''N, 35°20'33''E), altitude 54 m, 0 1.10.2015.

World distribution. Indigenous in southeastern Asia and Japan (Sun et al., 2015). But introduced Afrotropical region, East Nearctic region, Neotropical region, North Africa, Oriental region, Australia and in Europe (Sims & Gerard 1999; Blakemore 2008a; Rota 2013b).
