Haplocaulus kahlii (Stiller, 1931)

= Vorticella kahlii Stiller, 1931

Report as epibiont on rotifers: The species was found on an unidentified rotifer from Hamburg, Germany (Kahl 1935). Schödel (2018) also mentioned it as epibiont on rotifers of the genus Mytilina .

Remarks: This species is also reported on various crustaceans e.g., Cladocera— Daphnia galeata Sars, 1864, Daphnia hyalina Leydig, 1860, Daphnia sp., Sida crystallina (O.F. Müller, 1776), Leptodora kindtii (Focke, 1844); Amphipoda — Gammarus tigrinus Sexton, 1939; Copepoda — Macrocyclops albidus (Jurine, 1820); Megacyclops viridis (Jurine, 1820) (Morado & Small 1995; Fernandez-Leborans & Tato-Porto 2000a; Chatterjee et al. 2013; Mayén-Estrada & Dias 2021).
