Reported as Vorticella conochili in the mucus of the rotifer Conochilus unicornis from France (Faure-Fremiet 1948), The Netherlands (De Graaf 1953), and the Czech Republic (MoravcováHassdenteufelová 1956); on Conochilus sp. from Germany (Schödel 2018).
