Genus Scyphidia Dujardin, 1841

Report as epibiont on rotifers: This taxon was found on rotifers Filinia longiseta, Polyarthra sp., Keratella sp. and Brachionus sp. (Regali-Seleghim & Godinho 2004).

Remarks: Among the infested rotifers, F.longiseta was the most frequently infested one, followed by Polyarthra sp., Brachionus sp. and Keratella sp. (Regali-Seleghim & Godinho 2004). This species was also found on other groups of hosts—cladocerans and copepods (Regali-Seleghim & Godinho 2004).
