Spheterista tetraplasandra (Swezey) Rediscovery

This species was originally described from two males reared from fruits of “ Tetraplasandra ” [= Polyscias] ( Araliaceae)

in 1918 from Kaumuahona 1 and Wailupe, Oʻahu (Swezey 1920). A few additional specimens were collected in the following years, most recently a small series reared from “ Tetraplasandra ” [= Polyscias] at Puʻu Kaua, Oʻahu in 1932. One specimen is known from Kauaʻi, but this may represent a closely related undescribed species. We report three specimens from two separate locations in the central Koʻolau Mountains of Oʻahu.
