Spheterista argentinotata
(Walsingham)
Presumed extinct
This species is known from two females collected by Perkins in Olaʻa and Hilo, Hawaiʻi island in 1895 and 1896, respectively (Walsingham 1907). In the absence of known males, it is difficult to ascertain for certain whether it belongs to Spheterista or another genus. If Spheterista, it likely fed on leaves or fruit of Cheirodendron or Polyscias (Araliaceae) .
