Annual herb. Leaves alternate. Perianth unmodified; staminal appendage very conspicuous; style short, with 5 tubercules; stigmas 2, with a membranous veil; otherwise like Halimocnemis . One sp., H. vesiculosus Bunge, Afghanistan.
