Chrysis succincta ferghanensis Balthasar, 1953

Tetrachrysis succincta var. Asiatica Trautmann, 1926: 10, nom. praeocc., nec Radoszkowski, 1889. Holotype [sex unknown]; Uzbekistan: Ferghana Valley (type lost) ( succincta group).

Chrysis (Tetrachrysis) succincta f. ferghanensis Balthasar, 1953: 286. Replacement name for Tetrachrysis succincta var. asiatica Trautmann, 1926, nec Radoszkowski, 1889 ( succincta group).

Tetrachrysis succincta asiatica: present paper. Nomen dubium.

Remarks. The type of Tetrachrysis succincta var. asiatica was probably destroyed during the World War II together with the other types described by Trautmann related to Chrysis succincta (F. Koch, pers. comm.). Since the description is too short to unambiguously identify the species, we suggest to consider asiatica Trautmann, 1926 a nomen dubium. Chrysis succincta ferghanensis Balthasar, 1953 was not mentioned in Kimsey & Bohart’s (1991) catalogue.
