Differential features
(COI sequences, photographs of adults and their genitalia see https://dx.doi.org/10.5883/DS-ORBAMIA): Adult: Forewing length: 9.5-12 mm. Upperside of wings: Ground colour pale brown. Underside: Ground colour whitish with yellowish tinge, on forewing with some dark suffusion, terminal fascia on all wings complete. Male genitalia very similar to those of O. octomaculata: Uncus stout, triangular, valva strongly (rectangularly) bent, dorsal process with small spinule at tip, cornutus short and stout (1.5 mm). Female genitalia very similar to those of O. octomaculata: Lamella antevaginalis U-shaped (0.6-0.7 mm), signum sclerotised, transversely oval, transverse ridge curved (0.3-0.5 mm).
Remarks.
Allopatric vicariant of O. octomaculata . Orbamia becki is the only species of this genus that has also been recorded outside Africa in Yemen, southern Arabia.
