Type species: Separatatus carinatus Chen & Wu, 1994 .

Diagnosis. Antenna 1.0–1.3 × longer than body, rarely 1.6 × longer than body; first flagellomere slightly shorter than second flagellomere (Fig. 18O), face with long setae (Fig. 18J), eye slightly oval and glabrous; clypeus semicircular, obtusely protruding (Fig. 18J); labrum long and triangularly shaped, mandible robust, with three lobe-shaped teeth and rather small fourth ventral tooth (Figs 18L–M); metanotum hardly or not protruding dorsally; notauli present on very anterior area to basal third of mesoscutum; medio-posterior depression round or longitudinal (Fig. 18D); pterostigma distinct; vein 1m-cu of fore wing postfurcal; vein 2-SR of fore wing slightly sinuate or nearly straight, vein 2-SR slightly shorter than vein 3-SR; vein 2-SR+M not sclerotized (Fig. 18A); second tergite striate anteriorly (Fig. 18F); ovipositor sheath slightly shorter than metasoma.

Distribution. Oriental and Palaearctic regions (Yu et al. 2016).
